Adirondack Sport Center, founded in 1964 by Joseph Pfeiffer Sr., is a family owned and operated recreational sport shop located in Boonville, New York. Originally catering primarily to the hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and sports audience, we have since expanded into rental cabins and rental snowmobiles. Since then, Joseph has retired leaving the business to be run by his son John and his family.

 

By 1992 we had outgrown our location in downtown Boonville and moved to our current location on Hawkinsville Road, in the outskirts of Boonville. In 1995 we saw the demand so we began renting snowmobiles. Along with the snowmobile rentals came a need for lodging, so in 1998 we built our first rental cabin, and have since added 7 more, each a little different than the last. We now have cabins ranging from all the accommodations of home, to a rustic stay in the Adirondacks. There’s sure to be something for everyone!

 

Located in the heart of the Adirondacks, and at the base of the Tug Hill Plateau, we are centered in an area which has a lot to offer. In the summer there are nearby streams, and lakes for fishing, swimming, kayaking and boating, and New York State’s largest water theme park, the Enchanted Forest Water Safari is only 20 minutes away. In the winter, we are located directly on the snowmobile trail S77D between Tug Hill and Old Forge. We are also centrally located between three ski areas, Woods Valley, Snow Ridge and McCauley Mountain.

 

If you need service on your boat, snowmobile or snow blower, give us a call. You can bring it to us or we can come to you, whether it’s a snow blower in your garage, a boat on the lake, or a sled broke down on the trail, we will pick you up and get you back up and running in no time. If you’re in the market for a new boat, we can handle that too. We also have several models of snowmobiles to rent if you don’t have one of your own, or if you have a major break-down.
